Everyone noticed Victor's wonderful personality.

He loved company.

Victor lived over 17 years.
The cat beside him, Philco, lived almost 20 years.

Victor was named for the phonograph brand, and Philco was named for the radio brand -- pleasant reminders of the old music makers in our home.

What a lot of joy Victor and Philco brought to life!

Here Victor is greeting Mark's cousin,
Rick Jones,
who, sadly, has also passed away.

While no one can ever take the place of Victor and Philco, each with their own unique personality, it is great having the company these days of Amber. (The name "Amber" is short for "Amberola," a brand name of cylinder phonograph.) Amber is a wonderful person in her own right! As a doberman - german shephard mix, she's a devoted guard dog, but the rest of the time she is a 50-pound lap dog!

Cecilian (named after Montgomery Ward's brandname phonograph) came with the house, so we figured he had as much right to be here as we did. He was a spunky cat.

Many animals have been part of the family over the years -- the dogs Victor and Amber, the cats Philco and Cecilian, guinea pigs, tropical fish, 23 chickens, and even a semi-friendly opposum who lived under the back porch for a while. Each of them contributing to the marvel of life just by being himself or herself.
